Local & Unique Father’s Day Gifts

Father’s Day is right around the corner (June 19th). After many years of giving similar gifts, or items that were only used once or twice,  I decided to research some different options to find some things husbands and baby daddys will be sure to love.  Some are experiences rather than tangible items, and some are customized items that are sure to show the father in your life the love that he deserves.

If he needs to change up his wardrobe, or needs some new dress shirts, check our Ratio Clothing. They custom make dress and tuxedo shirts, with thousands of options to choose from. You can either go in to their Denver showroom or start the process online using basic information, such as height, age, etc. to get something your man will just love!

Knotty Tie Co.
926 West 10th Avenue

The Knotty Tie Co. is another awesome, customizable option.  Maybe he needs a new tie, scarf, pocket square, or bow tie?  There are no minimums and another fun, unique option to make sure that he looks great.  To make it even easier, you can just start the design process online, from the comfort of home. Trust us, this won’t be “just another tie for Father’s Day.”

Top Golf
Topgolf – Centennial
10601 East Easter Avenue

For a fun day or evening out, think about checking out Topgolf, in Centennial. The 240-yard outfield has dartboard like targets that you can aim for to try to collect the most points. All golfing abilities are welcome (trust me – I do not golf at all, ever!) and sure to have a blast.  They also have an impressive food and beverage list available.

Easy Entrees
2950 South Bear Creek Boulevard or 9064 Forsstrom Drive

We ordered a complete Father’s Day Meal last year, and everyone cleaned their plate, including my then two-year-old. Take away the stress of preparing a whole dinner for Father’s Day and pick up a meal you’re all sure to love.  Or, alternatively, you can treat dad to dinner another night – maybe you have a trip coming up and he’s nervous about being left to fend for himself? Bingo!  The food comes ready to cook, (think dinner kit in a box, except everything is mixed/pre-prepared; you just cook!).  Instructions are included and easy, and everything tastes great. Don’t have time to come in to their Lone Tree or Lakewood location for pick up? Not a problem!  Easy Entrees will deliver for a very small fee.  Check out their delivery info here.

Jefferson County Open Space
Check website for various locations

My family and I love to hike and enjoy the Colorado scenery. I suggest checking out Jefferson County Open Space Parks and Trails, as the drive is so close to Denver, yet you feel like you’re way up in the Rocky Mountains. Take dad out for a hike and pack a lunch for a day that is not to be forgotten. My personal favorite is Apex Park! Need more ideas for child-friendly front range hikes? We’ve got them – so make your Father’s Day an adventurous one!

Red Rocks Ampitheater
18300 West Alameda Parkway

Shows at Red Rocks are out of this world, and I’m sure many dads would love to attend an event there. Not a concert goer? That is okay! Consider getting tickets to Film on the Rocks, or even checking out their many fitness options, including boot camp and yoga on the rocks.

Denver Microbrew Tour
2220 Blake Street or 1001 16th Street Mall

For the dad who wants to go try some new brews in Denver, because why not, I’d suggest hitting up Denver Microbrew Tour. They offer tours in both LoDo Friday thru Sunday and in RiNo on Sunday’s. This is a great opportunity to get out an explore some unique and awesome breweries.

Kitchen Table Cooking School
6380 South Fiddler’s Green Circle, Suite 108A

Is dad a good cook? Does he like to learn new kitchen skills? My husband and I completed a date night cooking class at The Kitchen Table in the DTC a few weeks ago, our second class, and it was simply amazing. The food, instruction, and wine were all delectable.  I’d highly suggest The Kitchen Table, but this trend is all over town now. Some other options that I’m sure are great (although I’ve never personally attended) are Uncorked Kitchen, down by Park Meadows, and Cook Street, in LoDo. Treat dad to a date night out and show your appreciation for all that he does all year long.

bandimere

Bandimere Speedway
3051 South Rooney Road

Just about every weekend, and many weeknights, Bandimere Speedway has something fun going on! Grab some tickets, and headphones for the kiddos ears, and come out to enjoy the races.  Starting June 16th, Carstart “Thunder on the Mountain” will be in town through Father’s Day.

Colorado Rockies Baseball
2001 Blake Street

Coors Field is a beautiful place to go watch baseball, people watch, or just enjoy some sunshine in downtown Denver. Although the Rockies are out of town on Father’s Day, they are in town the following weekend, with a home stand starting on Thursday, June 23rd against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Grab the family and head out to the ball park!

I hope this list provides some inspiration with finding a memorable and useful Father’s Day gift in 2016.  Whether your gift is a great hike, a day at Bandimere, or a new, customized shirt, we are sure Father’s Day will be everything that you hope for.
